What's On Your Nightstand

I love these things, but have never participated in them.  If you want to find out how you can participate in this yourself, click here.

So as I understand it, I can talk about books I have here that one day I swear I will get around to reviewing.  Some my clients have sent me, some I have requested from different agencies and publishers.  And they are definitely piling up so let’s talk about them!

A Full House – But Empty came to me a couple of weeks ago.  Angus Monro is one of my newest clients and will be on a virtual book tour hosted by us in September.  There’s not much you can’t like about Angus.  He’s warm and approachable.  I love his cover but it’s what’s inside that will really tear at your heart.  I hate to say I have barely touched the surface, but what I have read, this is one talented author.  He writes, “Every book is intended to convey a message.  I am certain that one would be somewhat puzzled regarding the title of my book: A Full House – But Empty.  My father, not by choice but by circumstance, became a single parent.  I believe he inhertently possessed a bachelor’s mentality – not in terms of womanizing, but in other pursuits, such as playing poker.  Thus the term, A Full House the other half of my title – But Empty – actually refers to my ongoing insular existence living in the shadow of a house that seemed like a mini Grand Central Station.“  Does it really pull you in?  I can’t wait to have him on tour and interview him on the several blogs I own that I do host my authors.  Stay tuned for that!  If you are interested in having Angus hosted on your blog by way of interview, book spotlight or review, let me know by emailing me at thewriterslife(at)yahoo.com.

I’m late in sending out promo, so gotta run.  According to the rules, this What’s on Your Nightstand? occurs the last Tuesday of the month, so I’ll be back with more info on books on my nightstand!
